Here is a summary of the latest Covid-19 figures on the island of Ireland.
Republic of Ireland
- 1,182 people are in hospital with Covid-19, 58 of whom are receiving intensive care;
- 90 deaths reported over the last seven days up to yesterday;
- Latest Confirmed Cases (PCR) – 3,150 on Thursday, April 7, 2022;
- +Registered Positive Antigen – 3,855 – update: Thursday, 07 April, 2022;
- Tests Completed in last 7 days – 75,388 – Update: Friday, 08 April, ’22 so the Positive Rate in the last 7 days is 30.3%.
- 80.2% of the population are fully vaccinated, and 59.1% have received a booster dose*.
- Total Confirmed Cases (PCR) – 1,484,321;
- Total Deaths – 6,843;
- The Seven-Day Average for confirmed cases is 3,563 – but this includes only PCR-confirmed cases and not self-reported antigen test results.
* This data now represents people of all ages, including young children who are currently ineligible for a vaccine.
Northern Ireland
- 479 people are in hospital with Covid-19, 3 of whom are receiving intensive care
- 23 deaths were reported over the last seven days up to yesterday
- 70.7% of the population are fully vaccinated, and 53.3% have received a booster dose*
- The seven-day average for confirmed cases is 1,045 – (including both PCR and antigen tests).
