Ford EcoBlue alternator pulley tool set from Laser Tools

Need to remove a Ford EcoBlue alternator pulley without damage? Laser Tools says look to its specialist alternator pulley tool set (part number 8240).

Designed specifically for the Ford EcoBlue application (that incorporates a one-way overrun mechanism), the set allows safe removal of the pulley from the alternator.

It comprises a 1/2 inch drive T50 key (93mm long) with a special go-through 17mm hex driver. The T50 key grips the inner spline to keep the main alternator spindle steady as the 17mm male driver hex locates in and turns the pulley (use a 24mm ring spanner to turn the hex driver).

The set is equivalent to OEM 14-009, 414-009/1 and 414-009/2. Applications include the Ford Transit Custom, Ecosport, Kuga, Transit Connect, Transit, Mondeo, Focus, Galaxy, S-Max, C-Max, Edge and Puma.
