SDC supplies 35 Freespan trailers to KNP Logistics

KNP Logistics Group has added an additional 35 SDC Freespan trailers to its fleet of more than 300 trailers. The investment of over £1m is part of the group’s continuous renewal strategy.

The latest batch of 4.2m tri-axle trailers are equipped with BPW safe load strapping systems, clear side apertures for efficient loading and are EN 12642 XL compliant for optimised safety. Thirty are liveried KNP and five with customer own branding.

Commenting on the new fleet arrivals, Paul Abbott, Knights of Old Group director, said: “Despite the high demand for new trailers and ongoing labour and materials shortages, with direct control over every stage of their manufacturing process, SDC delivered all KNP Group trailer builds to schedule.

“During our 17 year relationship, they have manufactured over 500 trailers for us, all enhanced with the latest available safety innovations, and all delivered to schedule.”
