Steve Fisher posthumously awarded by the IAAF

Steve Fisher has been posthumously awarded the ‘2021 Outstanding Individual Achievement award’ at the IAAF Virtual Conference last week.

Mark Field, IAAF chief executive, said: “We want to pay tribute to our aftermarket friends and colleagues that are no longer with us. Their service to this industry, their customers and to the companies they have worked for will not go unrecognised by the automotive aftermarket.

“The IAAF has therefore dedicated the 2021 Outstanding Achievement Award posthumously to Steve Fisher of Apec Braking.

He added: “Steve, who was managing director at Apec, passed away on Wednesday, March 17 after a short, but difficult, battle with Covid-19. Steve was a champion of our sector and our awards programme celebrates the very best in our trade, in honour of everyone that works within it.”

AAG thanked the IAAF for honouring Steve with the award and recognising his contribution to the automotive industry.
