Haulier protest causing major disruption at Dublin Port

The so-called ‘Irish Truckers and Haulage Association against Fuel Prices’ is causing major disruption in and around Dublin Port today.

The group says it is protesting over increased fuel prices, with this being the second time in a month it has staged a protest in the capital.

GardaĆ have said the Southbound bore of the Dublin Port Tunnel has been closed due to the congestion while a number of other roads in the area are also affected.

GardaĆ estimate around 30-40 trucks are taking part in the protest and have appealed to motorists to avoid the area.

The Irish Road Haulage Association has distanced itself from this group of protesters.
