Harris Group donates Maxus Deliver 9 to Dublin Zoo

The Harris Group has donated a new Maxus Deliver 9 van to Dublin Zoo as part of the ‘Save Dublin Zoo’ campaign.

The campaign was launched last year by Dublin Zoo as a result of financial losses caused by Covid-19. It aims to raise vital funds to help cover the cost of animal care.

The new Maxus Deliver 9 van is fitted with state-of-the-art features and technology, including a remote internal and external camera system, donated by Remote IP.

Denise Harris, CEO of the Harris Group, said: “We are thrilled to have been in a position to support Dublin Zoo with the donation of a Maxus Deliver 9 van.

“When we heard their call out for help last year, we immediately knew that we needed to assist this iconic and important National institution.

“Dublin Zoo holds a very special place in my heart and I sincerely hope that the Maxus Deliver 9 will assist the animal care teams in the fantastic work they are doing to ensure wildlife conservation.”

Christoph Schwitzer, director of Dublin Zoo, added: “On behalf of all the staff at Dublin Zoo, I would like to sincerely thank the Harris Group for this incredibly generous donation, this is something we are all truly grateful for.

“We are constantly working hard to improve and enhance the facilities at Dublin Zoo, so this is a huge benefit for us in keeping up to date with the latest models and technologies.”
