New gen MAN TGS 8×4 for T-Met of Northern Ireland
Specialist scrap metal merchants and recyclers, steel stockholders and used vehicle parts suppliers T-Met of Northern Ireland has acquired its first new generation MAN TGS 8×4.
The new vehicle will operate across all four T-Met sites in Armagh, Belfast, Coleraine and Campsie.
It is powered by MAN’s latest generation Euro6D compliant D26, straight-six, 12.4-litre engine, which generates 316 kW (430 hp) and drives both rear axles via MAN’s TipMatic 12-speed automatic transmission.
Featuring the NN day cab and bodied with a hookloader body with an automatic roll-over sheeting system, the new arrival is equipped with Alcoa alloy wheels.
T-Met’s new TGS is joined by a New Generation MAN TGM 4×2 18.250 skiploader.
Both new vehicles join the expanding fleet of 24 vehicles, mainly MAN, which includes TGL 12 tonners with tilt & slide car recovery bodies, TGM 18 tonne skiploaders, TGS 8×4 and 6×2 hook loaders and TGX 44 tonne tractors.
