TecAlliance launches new online portal for workshops

TecAlliance is offering workshops direct access to TecRMI’s comprehensive, manufacturer-compliant repair and maintenance data with its web portal RMI Online.

The relaunched portal provides technical data for all common vehicle manufacturers in the areas of repair, mechanics, maintenance and diagnostics for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. RMI Online was developed specifically for the requirements of workshops.

It supports the entire workshop process with data intelligence – from scheduling the appointment with the customer to preparation, vehicle acceptance, diagnostics, repair and final vehicle handover.

The TecRMI database includes manufacturer-compliant labour times, indications of necessary replacement parts and special tools, repair instructions, information on electrical components and much more.

“Our RMI Online web portal was developed from practical experience for practical use to make workshops’ daily work easier,” explains Christian Bergmann, VP data manager RMI. “The online portal provides direct access to our comprehensive database of repair and maintenance information. This allows repair shops to better plan resources, work more efficiently, save time and money, and ensure a valuable offering for their customers.”

The web application can be accessed from any browser without installation. RMI Online is also available as a white-label solution that can be customised to the customer’s corporate design. Integration with a dealer management system (DMS), replacement parts catalogues or other systems can be implemented.

RMI Online offers a graphical search for replacement parts and labour times. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is used to identify the vehicle quickly and easily. Various checklists, e.g. for direct acceptance, wheel change or vacation check, help to plan and execute all work completely and correctly, to retain customers in the long term and to generate additional sales in the process.

Interactive links within the application support and facilitate repair and maintenance work. The required replacement parts and special tools as well as manufacturer-compliant, correct labour times are displayed without overlapping thanks to the intelligent overlap calculation. The ServiceFinder is another helpful function: After entering a vehicle’s mileage and date of first registration, the system determines the maintenance work due according to the manufacturer’s specifications and automatically suggests the required replacement parts.

RMI Online gives workshops direct access to the TecRMI database with manufacturer-compliant repair and maintenance data for all common vehicle manufacturers. TecRMI includes labour times, maintenance data, repair instructions as well as technical data and setting values.

Also provided are wheel and tyre information, wiring diagrams, information on fuse and relay boxes and on service or recall campaigns of the vehicle manufacturers. Additional services such as tips & tricks, different checklists and the Expert Hotline round off the offering.
