Delphi adds braking components for 2020 Volkswagen models

After announcing 24 first-to-market brake pad applications last year, Delphi Technologies has added yet another first-to-market application: front brake pads for the 2020 Volkswagen Caravelle, Transporter, Multivan, and California 2.0D.

The new front brake pads enable the company to achieve 99.89 per cent Volkswagen brake pad coverage in multiple key markets across Europe.

Delphi Technologies says these models in particular are significant service opportunities for workshop. The previous generation of the Volkswagen Transporter launched in 2016 sold over 300,000 vehicles in Europe.

The company boasts that thanks to its speed to market, aftermarket customers can gain access to new repair business sooner; which may be the decisive factor for vehicle owners using these new Volkswagen models as a safer travelling alternative. Increased vehicle use will require sooner than anticipated repairs.
