In the current unpredictable environment that companies of all sizes are facing, the ability to manage both peaks of activity and decreases in demand has become critical, both from an operational and financial standpoint.
To meet this increasing need for greater flexibility, Europcar says it is enhancing its solutions for Irish businesses, with three offers – ‘Superflex’, ‘Flex’ and ‘DuoFlex’.
Europcar states it presents an alternative to fixed-term leasing or vehicle ownership, now offering the convenience of a monthly subscription for Irish businesses.
Starting with a 28-day rental period, Europcar tells us any company can then adjust its subscription according to its needs, with no commitment and no upfront payment, with highly flexible terms and conditions.
A customer can, for example, start a monthly rental and then change their mind, being only billed for the effective rental days. These offers are also based on a wide choice of vehicles and a variety of mileage options. Maintenance, servicing and insurance are included in the price, which is fixed so companies can control their expenses, Europcar says.
The company adds it has included a “disruptive” product named ‘DuoFlex’ in this range of new offers. DuoFlex allows a mix of different vehicles within the same subscription formula, by offering access to another vehicle for two periods of two days every month.
For example, a customer who drives an electric vehicle for daily trips can switch to a car with an internal combustion engine for longer trips. Europcar says this is likely to be of particular interest for fleet managers looking to enhance their company’s car policy or to introduce the use of electric vehicles into their company’s mobility practices.
Colm Brady, managing director at Europcar Mobility Group Ireland explains: “At the origins of our Group, was the vision of its founder Raoul-Louis Mattei: ‘Why own a car, when you can rent one whenever you need it?’
“Today, this vision on which Europcar Mobility Group was founded is more relevant than ever, especially for companies. We believe that the flexibility offered by subscription is a key to success and will be a ‘must have’ in the new normal.
“With these new offers, we are enhancing the strong level of support we already offer to businesses– from independent sole traders and small companies to larger corporates; and to be at the forefront of the mobility evolution for our B2B customers.
“Our new offers give businesses the opportunity to pick up cars or vans when they need, for as long as they want, in a fully flexible manner. We empower businesses to have optimal control over their costs and allow them to adapt quickly to new situations, increasing or downsizing their fleet based on their activity level”.
