If you have to fit a new Ford 6 speed DPS6/6DCT250 twin-plate dry clutch you will find that the new replacement clutch pack is supplied with transit hooks which are built-in and specially set.
However, if you have to remove and refit an existing clutch pack, then these transport hooks will need to be reset before the unit is refitted to the gearbox.
This dual clutch retractor kit from Laser Tools (part number 8035) is designed (when used in accordance with Ford instructions) to reset these transport hooks. Applications include the Ford Transit Connect (from 2014), Fiesta (from 2008), Focus (From 2010) and the B-Max (from 2012).
After the clutch pack has been refitted the clutch actuators must also be reset — the Laser 8036 1/4 inch drive splined bit socket is used for this (equivalent to OEM 307-677). Applications include the Ford Focus (from 2012), Fiesta (from 2008), B-Max (from 2012) and EcoSport (from 2013).
