Auto Diesel Electric (ADE) tells us that it has reached an agreement with an unnamed “overseas consortium” for the purchase of the business.
The ADE statement says the agreement will allow for the continued operation and further development of the long established commercial vehicle and automotive component distributors.
It says that the new owners will introduce new product lines, explore new business opportunities, drive business growth and develop new markets.
The company statement concludes by saying the new owners will strengthen the ADE management team, but the present staff will be retained and will continue to serve the company’s long standing customer base throughout Ireland.
Established in 1965, ADE has become one of the leading forces in the Irish aftermarket, serving customers from all parts of the country for over 50 years.
