PURItech set for UK growth

Exhaust gas after-treatment specialist, PURItech has reintroduced themselves to the UK commercial vehicle marketplace.

The company has built up an enviable reputation around the globe with the retrofitting of emission reduction systems for buses, coaches and other heavy-duty vehicles ensuring they fully comply with the latest Euro VI standards, to offer operators a cost-effective solution rather than replacing the vehicle fleet.

PURItech’s Purinox solution – designed, manufactured and fitted in accordance with international ISO and TS quality standards – is an advanced SCRT system, which achieves cleanliness by reducing dangerous emissions, such as NOx and CO, by more than 95 per cent – 10 per cent more than Euro VI requirements., according to the manufacturer.

PURItech says Purinox is a very secure investment for operators as the modular design enables the easy maintenance of the diesel particulate filter and there is also the possibility to replace the SCR. The company claims Purinox is the most reliable and efficient retrofit solution to bring diesel vehicles from Euro III, IV, V and EEV to a standard equivalent to, or better than Euro 6 legislation, both economically and technically.

It is the perfect complement to vehicles operating within ever expanding UK Clean Air Zones, Low Emission Zones & Ultra Low Emissions Zones to avoid daily charges.

With a fitment and aftersales support network being established in the UK, along with a UK operation for servicing and repairs in Nottingham, PURItech is also looking to redefine the retrofit process to meet the high standards of project support the customer demands, working closely with bus operators to discuss their exact requirements before arriving at the correct solution for their fleet of either one vehicle or multiple vehicles.

With systems fitted to more than 4,000 vehicles around the world, PURItech is playing a key role in reducing harmful emissions brought about by some of the heaviest polluting vehicles.

Neil Koston, PURItech’s UK Sales Director, said: “The response to the launch has been overwhelming and we’ve had some really positive discussions with many businesses looking to find the most economical retrofit upgrade solution for fleets of all sizes.

“With the backing behind the UK operation, we’ve made a firm commitment to continuously expand our SCRT portfolio and improve aftersales service to limit vehicle-off-road time to keep the United Kingdom moving, working closely with our customer base to ensure the most effective developments.”
