Covid-19 test centre for HGVs installed at Circle K Gorey

Circle K Gorey, located on the M11 between J21 and J22, will facilitate Covid-19 antigen tests for HGVs departing Ireland for France.

The tests will be carried out by Irish healthcare company, RocDoc, the forecourt and convenience retailer announced.

Gordon Lawlor, MD of Circle K Ireland, stated that: “A key priority of ours throughout this pandemic is ensuring we play our part in supporting the national effort and we are delighted to be able to offer the use of our facility and support the Department of Transport and Transport Infrastructure Ireland in delivering a vital service.

“Circle K also has long standing ties to the commercial transport and freight industry and are keen to support this sector in any way we can.”

Dónal Minnock, operations manager- motorways, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, added: “TII very much acknowledges the co-operation and assistance of Circle K in supporting the State in facilitating this important public health initiative.”

The RocDoc Covid-19 testing centre at Circle K Gorey will be open from 07:00 – 21:00, Monday through Saturday.
