Midland Tyre Services has raised over €10K for Pieta House. The Borris-In-Ossory based supplier of truck, agri and off-the-road (OTR) tyres last weekend held a fundraiser, generating €10,250 for the suicide and self-harm crisis centre.
Staff at Midland Tyre undertook a series of challenges, with the company donating €250 for each one completed. Customers and members of the public could also text to donate €4.
The challenges included the egg, sugar and shot challenge, the press up challenge, the ice bucket challenge and the hurling ball challenge, all of which took place at Midland Tyre Services in Co. Laois.
Noel Kingston, CEO of Midland Tyre Services commented: “We are absolutely thrilled with the fundraising effort and humbled by the generosity of our suppliers, customers, staff, and the Borris-In-Ossory community.
“We are delighted to announce that we raised over €10,250 for Pieta House, a charity which is very close to our hearts.
“A special thanks to our operations director Chris Parle who was both the catalyst for today’s fundraiser, from its inception, and the chief organiser.”
Kingston added: “Special thanks to Jim Finlay and Dominic Lalor for their huge efforts in making today a big success. Thanks also to Luke McRedmond for his videography skills and Grainne Foyle for her brilliant photography.”
