CRW not needed to tax commercial vehicle – Minister announces
Transport Minister Shane Ross has announced details of legislative steps he has taken in support of of the ongoing COVID 19 situation.
In relation to vehicle testing, commercial vehicles with a test that was due on or after 28 March have have had the test date extended by three months.
Under the new legislative steps announced, it will no longer be longer necessary to have a current Certificate of Roadworthiness (CRW) in order to tax a commercial vehicle.
Operators should be able to renew their motor tax for a commercial vehicle from tomorrow, 21 April 2020, without need of a CRW.
