AGE launches new Cab Sanitiser
Workshop equipment specialists, AGE has launched a new cab sanitiser, which is helping to prevent the spread of COVID 19.
The sanitisers, according to Willie Barry of AGE offer protection against Covid-19, and in workshop situations help prevent the spread of the virus from customer vehicles.
The appliance allows the transformation of Oxygen (O2), present in the atmosphere, into Ozone (O3), a gas which, thanks to its strong oxidising power, is universally recognised as a disinfectant and used in the sterilisation of air, water and in environmental deodorisation (removal of odours).
The sanitiser has a remarkable bactericidal, fungicidal and inactivating effect on viruses. Ozone (O3) is a gas with a characteristic garlic-like odour, the molecules of which are made up of three oxygen atoms.
It is naturally present in the upper layers of the atmosphere and is formed by oxygen (O2) molecules in the vicinity of electrical discharges, sparks and lightning.
It is an extremely reactive molecule, which has considerable instability, and is an energetic oxidant. An increasingly popular use in the automotive sector is the sanitisation and deodorisation of the passenger compartment and the air circuit of the air conditioning system.
In fact, most of the time, for these operations, chemical products are used, sprayed with spray cans, which cannot reach all the points where the micro organisms nest (bacteria, viruses, spores, moulds, etc.)
