UK DAF salesperson recognised at European awards

Marcus Kemp, key account manager for DAF dealer HTC, has won first prize at DAF Trucks’ ‘International Dealer Salesperson of the Year’ awards.

The Europe-wide event, which culminated in a gala ceremony in Eindhoven, Netherlands, saw top DAF salespeople from across the continent vying for the overall title.

Representatives from 14 European countries gathered at the DAF Experience Centre for the finale, when a shortlist of three was announced on stage at the end of the evening, with Marcus Kemp being declared the overall victor.

DAF Trucks NV marketing and sales director, Richard Zink, told the audience that Kemp’s success was because “he maintains strong relationships with customers and colleagues achieving synergy through clear communication, flexible working and focusing on exceeding customer expectations, adding value to their businesses where at all possible.

Zunk added: “Marcus closes many orders (900 in 2019 alone) and ensures that DAF support is maintained in all areas, ensuring successful truck supply and, therefore, building loyalty for future opportunities.”

Russell Patmore, DAF Trucks sales director in the UK added: “For Marcus to have sold 900 trucks in 2019, and to out-perform colleagues from across Europe, is a truly impressive achievement.”

Kemp received an impressive trophy and a top-of-the-range Apple Smartwatch.
