Mercedes-Benz 2020 van line-up

The award-winning Sprinter large van range and the Vito mid-capacity van – including its recently launched electric drive eVito model, form the Mercedes-Benz 2020 light commercial vehicle offering.

Described as ‘astonishingly versatile’, the Vito range is said to offer owners ‘one of the best price-to-specifications value in its segment’.

Compact on the outside, roomy on the inside, the Vito panel van has a cargo volume of up to 6.9 cubic metres, a cargo area of up to 4.76 square metres and a loading length of up to 3.061 metres. The Vito has a range of high quality safety equipment which includes Crosswind Assist, Attention Assist and Collision Prevention Assist.

2019 saw Mercedes-Benz bring electric drive to its van segment with the arrival of its new mid-size eVito van.

With an installed battery capacity of 41.4 kWh, a range of 150 km WLTP, top speed of up to 120 km/h with 85 kW output and up to 300 Nm torque, a payload of 1000 kg and cargo volume of up to 6m3, the eVito is perfectly configured for city-centre use by delivery companies, trades people and public transport providers.

Sitting alongside the Vito and eVito range is the latest generation of the spaciously- large, high-spec, high-tech, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter panel vans. The three generations of the Sprinter panel van have all successfully won the Irish ‘Van of the Year’ award when they were first introduced into the market, before going on to become the distribution vehicles of choice amongst many high-profile names in food, drinks, courier, parcels, engineering, manufacturing and servicing sectors.

With new levels of intelligent connectivity, superior comfort and – for the first time – a front wheel drive version to the market, plus a new three year warranty, now standard across the entire Mercedes–Benz van range, Sprinter technology features include Mercedes PRO Connect and a new finger-touch MBUX multimedia system – giving drivers better data access and real time online information, whilst enabling owners to monitor fleet performance to deliver cost and time savings.

Six body variants, three body heights, five weight classes, five wheelbases, three diesel engines, and a towing capacity up to 3.5 tonnes mean customers can model more than 1,700 different units to suit whatever corporate or individual requirements they may have.
