Tata Steel has appointed Karl Haider to the role of Chief Commercial Officer for its European operations effective immediately.
He replaces Henrik Adam in the role who became CEO of Tata Steel Europe back in June.
Tata Steel is the producer of the Coretinium, which can be used as flooring and sidewall material for bus and trailer manufacturers looking to reduce vehicle weight.
Haider has been with the steel manufacturer in Europe since 2011 and said of his new role: “My goals are simple: to listen to our valued customers, understand their needs and deliver an excellent experience for them.
“These are challenging times for the European steel industry. However, we have the capability and the determination to succeed, to deliver on our promises and to grow stronger for the future.”
Tata Steel’s Irish service centre is based in Lisburn, Co. Antrim.
