New EVs make a Mitie improvement

Major facilities management company Mitie has passed a major milestone in the electrification of its fleet, by deploying its 100th and 101st electric vans.

The two new all-electric Nissan e-NV200 models will be used to deliver Mitie contracts at Edinburgh Castle and Fife College.

The company is committed to switching 20 per cent of its car and small van fleet to electric by the end of 2020. A further 400 EVs are set to join the fleet by the first half of next year.

Edinburgh was identified as the first location for the latest additions in support the city’s commitment to be zero-carbon by 2030, which aligns with Mitie’s own commitment to a fully electric fleet by 2030.

Since 2010, in Ireland too, Mitie has provides facilities management, consultancy, project management and a wide array of specialist services, supported by innovation and industry-leading technology.
