DPD Ireland’s all-electric depot opens
DPD Ireland’s new all-electric depot, ElectriCity, officially launched at Dockland’s Innovation Park, East Wall Road, Dublin 3 on April 30.
Richard Bruton, Minister for Communications, Climate Change and the Environment, Dwain McDonald, Chairman of DPD Ireland and CEO DPDgroup UK, and Des Travers, CEO DPD Ireland cut the red ribbon to unveil the new and distinctive electric fleet.

The Launch of ElectriCity is the latest of DPD’s initiatives on “Smart Urban Delivery”. Its electric depot is the first of its kind in Ireland and will help DPD save 20,000 tonnes of carbon annually.
