Windsor to open Ireland’s first ‘Motor Mall’ with 80 new jobs

Windsor is opening Ireland’s first ever motor mall at Exit 5 on the M50 bringing multiple car brands together under one roof on an extensive 2.87 hectare site that will also include a dedicated Electric Vehicle (EV) Hub with up to 20 free charging points.

The Windsor MotorMall is a brand new concept in car retail that is being pioneered by Windsor to provide Irish car buyers and owners with extensive choice, service and convenience at one highly accessible location.

80 new jobs are being created at the facility which will also include a dedicated Windsor Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Centre, an AfterCare Workshop with 16 work bays, a welcome lounge and café for customers and M50 commuters and 150 car parking spaces.

The inclusion of an EV hub at the Windsor MotorMall reflects the soaring 408 per cent year-on-year increase in EV sales. Windsor is the biggest seller of EVs in Ireland and the new EV hub will harness its expert product knowledge, offering customers a one-stop-shop to discover the benefits of EV driving, to test drive an EV, to make the switch to zero emissions driving and to recharge and service their EV.

The new Windsor MotorMall opens to the public in September with the Nissan, Renault and Dacia marques and the Windsor Certified and Renault ‘Selection’ brands of approved used cars amongst the first to be part of the enterprising new venture.

The 2.87 hectares site will house the biggest indoor car showroom in the country. Extending to 46,000 square feet over two floors it will offer customers the convenience of being able to view 50 of the latest models from multiple car brands under one roof. A further 350 cars can be viewed outside.

The modern showroom will also feature displays of personalisation and lifestyle products. Visitors to the showroom will also be able to avail of an additional range of mobility services including car finance, car insurance, car rental and car sharing.

Skilled technicians, retail advisors, customer care, after sales and administrative staff are currently being sought for the Windsor MotorMall. Qualified candidates can submit applications for any one of these positions to careers@windsor.ie.

The new Windsor LCV Centre will provide expert service to commercial van customers, including a full vehicle fit out service. Specialist sales staff will help businesses of all sizes to find the perfect solution to meet the needs of their business, whether they are buying a single van or fleet of commercial vehicles.

The large Windsor AfterCare Workshop will offer greater convenience to customers servicing their cars. It is being fitted out with 16 work bays and state-of-the-art equipment and technology to provide a quick and efficient service, with early check-in and late collection made possible through longer and more convenient opening hours.

Peter Nicholson, Managing Director of Windsor said: “The arrival of the Windsor MotorMall is great news for car buyers and owners. It will bring multiple car brands together under one roof. This is a whole new concept in car retail in Ireland which we have specially designed to offer the greatest convenience to customers.

“The new EV hub will be a go-to destination for anyone who is thinking about buying an EV or who has already made the switch to zero emissions, EV driving. The Windsor LCV Centre will also provide commercial van customers with expert product knowledge and service to keep their business on the road.”
