Mitsubishi reveals L200 ‘Absolute’ concept
Mitsubishi has revealed a concept truck based on the L200 pick-up.
The one-off special was revealed at last week’s Bangkok Motor Show in Thailand, and was created to embody what the company calls the “Absolutely Beyond Tough” off-roading nature of the latest variant of its pickup truck.
The L200 Absolute gets special protective body cladding, prominent front and rear skid plates with red accents, a redesigned rear tailgate and a bespoke lighting system, while it also has a wider track to accommodate heavy duty off-road wheels and tyres. Upgraded suspension raises the body by 50mm for improved ground clearance, while also providing more suspension travel.
The Absolute is based on the sixth-generation L200, which was revealed in Thailand, where it is built, last year and which went on sale in the UK in late 2018.
