Assured Performance, the Turbo specialists, is advising truck and bus operators that fitting bon genuine turbos could result in a CVRT failure.
Assured Performance says that using a non-genuine turbocharger, in some cases, will increase NOx levels by up to 28 per cent, potentially causing the vehicle to fail its CVRT inspection.
The increase in NOx levels can be further exacerbated by fitting a poorly remanufactured unit, that uses uncontrolled, non-genuine spare part.
The only way to guarantee that our vehicle passes the CVRT emissions test is by fitting a genuine OE turbo, Assured Performance says.
