Riken range continues to grow with new trailer tyre

Riken has quickly become a major mid-range brand for truck, bus and coach tyres in Ireland since its arrival on the market several years ago.

Already popular in the UK, France, Germany, Spain and throughout Eastern Europe, the Michelin-owned brand’s reputation for producing high-quality, value tyres has grown every year since.

Manufactured in ISO 14001 (environmental management standard) and ISO 9001 (quality management standard) certified factories in Europe, all Riken commercial vehicle tyres are designed and built with a steel radial casing to enable them to be regrooved and retreaded, offering maximum longevity from each casing.

The Riken line-up consists of steer axle, drive axle and trailer tyres. All patterns benefit from the M+S (Mud + Snow) rating, and a number of the latest generation steer and drive axle sizes are also 3PMSF (Three Peak Mountain Snowflake) rated, which gives operators an assurance of excellent grip and traction in winter conditions.

Riken offers tyres for both long and short journeys on all types of sealed road surfaces, and combined use on roads in and around worksites and quarries – meaning there’s a suitable tyre available for most commercial vehicle applications.

And with popularity growing, Riken has boosted its trailer offering by launching the new 385/65 R22.5 Road Ready T fitment. It boasts a brand new and improved tread pattern featuring a greater surface area versus its predecessor, increased stiffness to better cope with severe scrubbing, and a tread depth increased by 1.5mm. This translates into approximately 20 per cent more rubber in the tyre, ensuring longer replacement intervals and helping to minimise wheel interventions for fleets.
