Bus crashes into Belfast cafe for the second time
A bus has crashed into a Belfast cafe/coffee shop for the second time in two months.
The collision happened on Lower North Street, just off Royal Avenue in Belfast city centre yesterday morning. The bus struck the overhang of the Caffe Nero, knocking part of it onto the ground.
A similar crash happened on September 17, when another bus hit the Caffe Nero, an Italian coffee shop.
An official Translink spokesperson stated in a statement said: “A Metro bus had a minor collision with a shop awning around 11.30am this morning at Lower North Street in Belfast. There were seven passengers on board the service. There were no injuries”.
He added: “Translink has launched an investigation.”
