New FER website enhances member benefits

The Federation of Engine Re-manufacturers (FER) has launched a fresh ‘new look’ website designed to showcase its exclusive range of member-only benefits, as well as provide an information hub to the engine remanufacturing industry.

The re-designed website at www.fer.co.uk provides exclusive information about the benefits of being an FER member as well as using one, featuring a search facility across its database of FER members. The site also offers members access to the latest industry news, keeping them up-to-date with FER’s most recent activity.

The organisation’s aim is to further benefit and assist its members, continuously looking to expand on its vast offering, supplying a range of advantages to meet every member’s needs. There is also a dedicated area for members to access key FER documents such as the code of practice, awareness leaflets and information on service providers.

John Gray, FER president, said: “We’re proud to launch FER’s new website, which perfectly combines a clean, modern design with intuitive navigation to reflect the needs of both members and site visitors. It is essential we provide them with easy access to exclusive, useful information and both internal updates from the federation, as well as the latest industry news.”

The website also encourages potential customers to use FER members, with a specific section created highlighting the benefits of choosing a member for re-manufactured parts. The Federation sets, as its minimum standard, the British Standard BS AU 257: 2002 and every member must work to this standard as there are checks to ensure they comply.

The ‘Find FER members’ function is to assist customers in finding their nearest FER member, by simply typing in their address or company name, with the closest member appearing, alongside key information.

Gray added: “The new look website enables us to directly connect and communicate with our members, as well as provide us with the opportunity to promote the vast network of nationwide members.

“What’s important is to provide a digital information hub that is regularly updated for both our members and potential customers looking for advice within the remanufacturing industry.”
