Iveco to focus on alternative fuels at IAA Commercial Vehicle Show

Italian HGV, LCV and bus manufacturer IVECO has announced it will exhibit only alternatively fueled vehicles on its stand in the Low Emission Zone at the IAA International Commercial Vehicle Show in Hannover, Germany, in September.
The companywill exhibit 18 vehicles powered by electricity, CNG (compressed natural gas) and LNG (liquefied natural gas), all of which are currently on the market, as part of its commitment to different fuel strategies.

Iveco Brand President, Pierre Lahutte, said: “At IAA, Iveco will demonstrate that its Electric, CNG and LNG are viable alternatives.

“Our market is following a global trend that is seeing growing awareness about  fuel alternatives for commercial vehicle applications,”Held in Hanover, Germany, from 20-27 September, the IAA 2018 event is the largest global exhibition for road transport and takes place every two years.

Iveco also plans on hosting a round table focused on “the energy transition towards a sustainable future” which will involve a series of workshops that explore opportunities for a circular economy and topics relating to alternative power sources in the transport sector.
