The Department of Communications, Climate Action & Environment and tyre industry stakeholders are involved in discussions on the introduction of the visible Environmental Management Cost (vEMC) for truck tyres, which was due to come into force in April, Tyre Trade.ie has learned.
A spokesperson for the Department of Communications, Climate Action & Environment told TyreTrade.ie: “The Truck Tyre Working Group has been established and the first meeting of the Group took place on January 17, 2018.
