New Sogefi cabin filters available
Sogefi offers two types of filters to the aftermarket that protect against external pollution as well as
bad smells: Pollen and Activated Carbon Filters.
The pollen cabin air filter stops particles bigger than 40 microns, including dust, pollen, bacteria,
braking residues, mould, sulphur oxides and exhaust gases. Recently Sogefi has released the Pollen filters for Alfa Romeo Giulia (2.0 – 2.2 JTDM – 2.2D JTDM – 2.9) and Stelvio (2.0 – 2.2D – 2.9) available in the codes: Purflux AH519, FRAM® CF12179.
The activated carbon filter stops particles as well as odours thanks to Sogefi’s high tech design that consists of three filtration layers: one active carbon layer between two layers of non-woven fibres. In addition it reduces the concentration of noxious gases inside the car that could cause headaches, irritation and coughing.
Recently Sogefi has released Carbon Filters for: Porsche 911, Boxster (2.5i – 2.7 – 2.9 – 3.2 – 3.4), Cayman (2.7 – 2.9 – 3.4) – available with the references: Purflux AHC527, FRAM® CFA11919, CoopersFiaam PCK8485; Nissan Primastar (1.9 – 2.0 – 2.5 dCi) and Renault Trafic II (1.9 – 2.0 – 2.5 dCi) available in the codes: Purflux AHC186, FRAM® CFA9934, CoopersFiaam PCK8154.
Most cabin filters in modern cars are accessible and easily replaced without specific tools and regular replacement of the cabin air filter greatly contributes to maintaining fresher atmosphere in the car. This regular replacement also allows the ventilation system to continue to work at optimum performance and therefore aids the windscreen to be kept clear and clean.
Therefore, like all other filters, cabin filters must be changed during the annual service. As a reminder – let’s not forget that cabin filters can also be found in vehicles without an AC system.
