Falken is expanding its portfolio of tyres by introducing new high-load versions for the RI151 bus tyre in response to growing market demand.
The RI151 is tailored to meet the specific needs of regional transport, bus and coach use, as well as being an ideal tyre for all-round use. Bearing the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMS) mark, it offers excellent all-weather characteristics.
The RI151 is now available in high-load versions for sizes 295/80R22,5; 315/60R22,5 and 315/70R22,5, all of which are suitable for axle loads of up to eight tonnes (depending on model). These high-load tyre models have replaced their normal load index predecessors to minimise confusion and the need for duplicate stocking.
The RI151 steer axle tyre is designed for regional use, featuring an innovative compound which shrugs off harsh weather conditions. On dry, wet or snowy roads, the RI151 delivers excellent traction and high mileage, as well as outstanding ruggedness and durability. The innovative pattern includes smart Stone Ejectors; raised elements which prevent stones from lodging in the tyres.
All models are suitable for recutting – helping to protect the environment and saving valuable resources, as well as lowering costs.
“By developing these new models and sizes, we are continuing to support our bus clients by responding to the high demand for high-load tyres,” explains Markus Bögner, managing director and COO at Falken Tyre Europe GmbH. “This enables us to cater to customers’ individual needs more effectively and help them to cut costs and save money over the longer term.”
