NGK set to exhibit at Autosport International
Ignition specialist NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd has a long and illustrious motorsport pedigree which it will highlight when it lines-up alongside the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers and teams at the 2018 Autosport International show.
The company has helped some of the most famous Formula One, Rally and other four-wheel teams and drivers to numerous race victories and titles and will be exhibiting at the show at Birmingham’s NEC on January 11-14.
NGK – renowned for supplying original equipment (OE) spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK Lambda and other engine management sensors – will feature Lee Cohen’s 1700hp Ford Zephyr drag car on Stand 2850.
The 16ft long vehicle, which is based on a 1955 model and fitted with eight B9ES NGK spark plugs, runs in the super pro class and has run a best time of 6.7 seconds at 203mph.
There will also be a ‘Game Pod’ racing simulator where visitors will compete daily to win a remote-controlled Ferrari 458 model car.
