Commercial vehicle registrations down on last year

New registrations in the light and heavy commercial vehicle sectors are drown significantly on last year, according to official statistics released by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI).

Registrations in the Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) sector were down 12 per cent (580) last month, when compared to November 2016 (656) and year to date are down 14 per cent (23,952).

New Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HGV) registrations increased 83 per cent for the month of November (130) compared to the same month last year (71), but are down 13 per cent (2,478) year to date.
