Ignition specialist NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd has held its 26th annual Northern Ireland Golf Day.
Playing the Valley Golf Course at Royal Portrush Golf Club, the rain fortunately stayed away on what was a fun-filled day for everyone involved.
Winner of the low handicap section and the NGK Shield was last year’s runner-up Nial Patrick, of RT Autoparts, of Cookstown, with James Allan, of Fyfes Vehicle and Engineering Supplies in Ballymena in second place, and Vincent McCaffery, of Antrim Autoparts, third.
Competition was also very close in the high handicap section with Matthew Maguire from North Down Motor Factors in Newtownards coming out on top from Elmer Wallace, of Paints and Components in Ballymoney in second place, and Alan Graham, of Lagan Motor Factors in Lisburn, who was third.
The nearest to the pin competition was won by Alan Graham, of Lagan Motor Factors in Lisburn, while Stewart Neill, Area Manager – Ireland of NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd, picked up the longest drive award. NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd Managing Director Eddie Kobayashi came out on top to win the NGK prize.
Stewart Neill said: “This event is always very popular, and it was great to once again meet up with many of our customers for what is always a fun-packed but highly competitive occasion.”
After the golf, the NGK party transferred to the Portrush Atlantic Hotel for an overnight stay, evening meal and prize presentation.
