Truck Run in aid of Friends of Wexford

Upwards on 100 trucks are set to take part in a Truck Run around Co. Wexford on Sunday, August 20, in aid of The Friends of Wexford General Hospital to help fund the purchase of an MRI scanner.

The trucks will start in Kilrane beside Maguire’s Hardware at 12 noon and will by-pass New Ross on the ring road and proceed towards Enniscorthy.

All vehicles will park in the Cattle Mart, Old Dublin Road, Enniscorthy, at 1.30 p.m., where refreshments will be available and photo opportunities.

The trucks will leave the mart at 2.30 p.m. and head for Gorey, where they will by-pass the town by Tesco and come onto the Coast Road and head back for Wexford town.

The trucks will arrive in town at 4 p.m. and park on the Quay for the evening where everyone can enjoy music and various stalls.

Music will be provided by Borderline and others. At each stop on the way, the committee from Friends of Wexford General Hospital will be collecting money in aid of the scanner.
