FinishLine set to co-Sponsor of Cavan Stages Rally 2017

The Hotel Kilmore Cavan Stages Rally 2017, part of the Sligo Pallets Border Rally Championship will be held on Sunday May 28.

FinishLine Automotive Body Repair Coatings is the new co-sponsor and media sponsor of the event, together with main sponsor The Hotel Kilmore and co-sponsors Brady’s Garage and Wilton Waste.

Paul Gilsenan, Director of Abcon Industrial Products Ltd, commented: “Our FinishLine brand is ideally suited to sponsorship of this event and we are delighted to be in a position to support our local motor club. Cavan Motor Club have been in existence since 1964 and they always run a professional and enjoyable rally with some brilliant stages. We are excited to be a part of Cavan Stages Rally 2017.”

The committee arranged for four locally owned rally cars to be on display at the launch, including a 1970’s Mark II Escort and a hand built Honda Civic, which were in pristine condition.
The format of this year’s rally will see a new twist with the inclusion of the new “shakedown stage” on Saturday evening with 3 runs over a 3km stage close to service being available for crews to make sure their machines are fully up to the challenge of the traditional loop of 3X3 over a very compact route with low road mileage offering the maximum 120 special stage kilometres.
The Rally will start from the Hotel Kilmore, Cavan.
