Europe’s largest auto aftermarket show this year, Autopromotec 2017 opens its doors from this Wednesday (24th.) to Sunday (28th.). And we are there to bring coverage to you.
The international exhibition of automotive equipment and aftermarket products, will take place at the Bologna Fiere exhibition centre. For more than 50 years, the event in this Italian city has been bringing together professionals in the automotive aftermarket and has become an essential meeting on an international scale.
The organisers of Autopromotec 2017 tell us that this year will be the largest and most international in its history, featuring a number of not-to-be-missed initiatives designed for the many visitors arriving from all over the world.
The organisers confirm the participation of 1,651 exhibitors: the share of foreign companies is 42%, 53 countries are represented (6 more countries over 2015). After Italy, with 962 companies that have chosen the event as a showcase for their products and services, the nations with the largest number of exhibitors are China, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, Taiwan, Poland, USA, France and the Netherlands. The significant increase in the number of exhibiting companies has led to the expansion of certain sectors and the consequent extension of the total area occupied by the event.
The floor plan this year is divided into 14 halls and 5 outdoor areas, for a total space of 158,000 square metres. As usual, exhibitors are grouped by product area – with over 550 categories covering all sectors in the aftermarket – to allow visitors to plan their visit based on their professional interests. The world of new or retreaded tyres, rims, and related equipment is grouped in Halls 15, 19, 20, 22, 31 and in the outdoor area 42.
The best tools for after-sales service – from diagnostic and lifting equipment, to car wash solutions and car care, from bodyshop products to tools and compressors – are presented in halls 14, 25, 26, 29, 36 and part of 30, where visitors will find the world’s best when it comes to workshop service, body shops, auto electricians, tyre shops, car dealers, service stations, repair and service centres.
Everything having to do with spare parts and evolving industrial services like software and computer systems, automotive networks, distribution chains and logistic services, is on display in the halls 16, 18, 21 and part of 30. In fact, precisely in Hall 30 (Booth D14), Autopromotec presents the initiative “Officina 4.0: Proof of Concept”, a virtual preview of tomorrow’s workshop, through which it is possible to analyse what the future holds for the world of repairs, the technologies and how it will change the role of professionals.
Also for this year, with Autopromotec EDU, the great arena of exchange and debate on the most current issues related to the automotive after-sales, Autopromotec not only provides a showcase of products and services, but also a time of training and information for the entire sector thanks to insights into the most important aspects of the aftermarket. The alendar of Autopromotec EDU is packed with interesting conferences that will involve renowned representatives of the aftermarket, with the aim of giving all participants ideas to optimise, innovate and grow their business.
