Soltec now offering waste oil collection service

Waste management specialists, Soltec (Ireland) Ltd has added a new waste oil collection service to its ever growing list of services for garages and workshops around the country.

Soltec’s list of workshop wast collection services now includes waste oils, used filters, aerosols and contaminated rags.

The company is also offering oil spill kits are part of its service offering and is running a rebate scheme for lead acid batteries.

Soltec (Ireland) will provide all disposal certificates required by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Health and Safety Authority.

In a separate development Soltec Ireland has developed an online automated waste tracking and reporting system (SWT), which allows its clients to log in, see their waste shipments, treatments carried out and  produce PDF reports as and when required.

The need for this system has come from direct interaction with the company’s client base, with increasing demand for instant and online information. In response Soltec has developed a system, which will allow them track waste shipments and produce reports remotely.

The system will prove to be a useful tool for industry professionals for end of year reports, continual  and unannounced  audits, allowing  them access their waste shipment information instantly  removing the need for requesting and waiting for reports to be manually called and sent.

The system has been built with the user in mind, colourful icons and familiar features allow the user to search, review and generate reports with ease. Information is displayed in a logical fashion and search tools allow the user access exact information without delay.

SWT has been in operation now since January and has proven already to be a useful tool for clients, with initial feedback being very positive.
