Michelin is embedding RFID microchips in its truck tyres

Smart and  connected truck tyres can now easily be identified and provide information on tyre pressure, temperature, wear, etc.

Information such as temperature, pressure, ID number, and location on the vehicle is all necessary to the management of truck tyre stocks. Thanks to RFID technology this information is now more accessible and readily shared.

When connected to a TPMS – Tyre Pressure Monitoring System – RFID cuts tyre inspection time from 15 to 5 minutes.
