Renault LCV finance offer for March
If you are in the market for a light commercial vehicle, and you are looking at financing options, Renault’s award-winning LCV range and finance offers, are well worth a look, writes John Loughran.
Renault has a new LCV offer for March of 3.9 per cent APR HP with a €1,000 accessories pack included, applicable on current stocks of the Kangoo, Trafic and Master.
All new Renault vans are covered by a five year warranty package, the first two years with unlimited mileage and the third, fourth and fifth years are limited to 200,000 km.
The award winning range of Renault vans has held the number one spot in Europe for the past 18 years and is in the top three best selling van brands in Ireland. John Loughran took a close up look at the range.

Renault also provides a 100 per cent electric LCV, the Kangoo Van Z.E., for fleets and businesses looking to cut their carbon footprint. Later in 2017, the Kangoo Van Z.E. Power+ will launch with a 50 per cent longer range, and the Kangoo will be joined by the Master Z.E. which combines electric efficiency with huge cargo capacity.
Renault continues to expand its PRO+ network, dedicated to meeting the needs of business customers. There are currently four dedicated PRO+ dealers, including Kearys Cork, which opened the first stand-alone PRO+ dealership in Ireland.
Renault Bank is a key part of Renault’s van business with over €77 million lent to van customers in 2016 for new and used vehicles.
Kangoo Panel Van
The Kangoo benefits from the best in modern technology. Its Energy engine range consists of the dCi 75 bhp, dCi 90 bhp and dCi 110 bhp engines which feature Stop & Start technology and the new regenerative braking system helping the Kangoo to achieve fuel economy of up to 4.3 l/100km. The variable geometry turbocharger borrows F1 technology, allowing for flexible driving and instant pick-up, even under load, all the while giving more power at high speeds. The regenerative braking system helps charge the battery when decelerating, while Eco Mode optimises throttle response for maximum fuel economy with fuel consumption improved by up to 10 per cent. The Euro 6 engine standard reduces NOx (Nitrous Oxides) emissions by half compared to Euro 5.
Kangoo crew van cab and crew van
Renault has developed clever solutions to increase practicality whilst improving safety. The multi-positional bulkhead cleverly lets you make the most of interior room, without compromising passenger safety. When carrying crew, it sits behind the rear seats, when folding down, it automatically follows suit to protect passengers in the front cabin. Both are available with either 90bhp or 110bhp ENERGY engines.
Trafic Panel van
With its stylish design, highly efficient Energy engines, latest on-board technology and high levels of comfort and safety, the Trafic ticks all of the boxes and is comprehensively equipped in Business, Business+ and Sport trim levels with features such as Grip Xtend, ECO mode for maximum fuel economy; Electronic Stability Control; Wide View mirror, Hill Start Assist.
The Trafic has been developed to deliver clever storage solutions. Its load through bulkhead continues all the way under the passenger bench allowing items up to 4.1m in length (LWB) with a clever internal roof rack and a large range of accessories. The load volume – 5.2 square metres on the Short Wheel Base, and 6 square metres on the Long Wheel Base, and up to 8.6m square metres on high roof variants, have been maximised to provide a loading volume which is as capacious as ever.
The Trafic engine benefits from a single, variable geometry turbocharger (dCi 95 hp and dCi 120 hp) or twin turbo (Energy dCi 125 hp and Energy dCi 145 hp). The Twin Turbo Energy engines, with Stop and Start technology and the new regenerative braking system help the Trafic achieve fuel economy as low as 6 l/100km (LCV) or 5.6 l/100km (Passenger). The Trafic also comes equipped with the latest Euro 6 compliant engines.
Trafic Crew Van and Passenger Versions
The Crew Van has seating for up to six and can still carry the tools you need for the job, safely and securely, available in Business, Business+ and Sport variants, with both single turbo and twin turbo engine options. The Trafic Passenger (nine people) is the ultimate way to transport clients or employees and is available in Business and Sport.
The Master Panel Van comes equipped with the latest Euro 6 compliant engines. Available in four lengths and three heights, the Master offers a load volume of between 8 cubic metres and 22 cubic metres, with a payload of up to 2,151 kgs (on rear-wheel drive 4.5 tonne versions). Efficient with space and boasting load volumes of up to 17 cubic metres and payloads of up to 1,593 kgs (3.5 tonne versions) and 2,151kgs (4.5 tonne versions), these units can be supplied from factory with options that allow for a wide variety of conversions, from wheelchair access minibuses and refrigerated vans to ambulances.
The Master chassis cab has a range of Platform and Chassis Cab vehicles which can be converted into low platform large volume vans to tippers. In addition to the cargo versions, the Master is available as a Minibus, with the LM39 17 seater providing the ideal blend of comfort, space and value
All Masters have ESC, Hill Start Assist, Grip Xtend and Trailer Swing Assist. The Master engine benefits from the best in modern technology, with a choice of variable geometry turbocharger (dCi 110 hp, Energy dCi 110 hp and dCi 130 hp) or twin turbo (Energy dCi 145 hp, Energy dCi 165 hp and Energy dCi 170). The Twin Turbo engine, with Stop and Start technology and the new regenerative braking system helps the Master achieve fuel economy of up to 7 l/100km (LCV) or 6.3 l/100km (Passenger).
Within the Renault Group the shockingly affordable Dacia is also making inroads in to the commercial LCV sector with the factory built Duster Commercial. Available in 4×2 and 4×4 the Duster Commercial is available with a dCi 110 engine.
