Once again Total attended the Commercial Vehicle Show held at the NEC in Birmingham at the end of April. The show attracted well over 20,000 visitors during the three days presenting a vast range of potential customers for Total with three out of four visitors to the show being hauliers, fleet owners, senior manager or engineers, with most having sole or joint purchasing responsibility.
Total’s attendance at the show this year was supported by a much larger presence than last year, including a presence from their Irish distribution partner Finol Oils Ltd that proved a great success.
The stand (5m x 10m) captured the visitor’s attention straight away, with visitors being drawn towards a huge video wall 3.5m long x 2m high which played a stream of video content including information about Total and a new ANAC video (Oil Analysis), which is a key added value service offering, which potential customers attending the show found interesting in supporting their businesses.
In front of the video wall Total displayed the iconic Red Bull F1 racing car branded in this year’s livery which proved once again to be a real strong attraction/hook to engage visitors onto their stand.
Two huge oil cans (6.5ft high) with customized graphics to the products – Rubia, Adlue and Coolants represented the product offer. These oversized models on a psychological level acted as an amusing giant advert to promote the brands.
A key message displayed on the wall was “Your Partner for Profit” built on the premise that Total and Finol don’t just supply bubricants but they offer their customers added value services.
To their fleet customers they are not simply a supplier of lubricants, Total and Finol think ahead, they help them to adapt to their changing needs, helping fleet managers to improve margins and streamline their fleet operations.
