Commercial Vehicle Zone added to Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services

The Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services (CAPAS) continues on a solid path to success and sustained growth for the 2016 exhibition. At this year’s CAPAS, there will be a brand new sector, “Commercial Vehicle Zone”, to accommodate an ever-expanding demand within the commercial vehicle industry. This new segment is a welcome addition to the third annual exhibition – taking place 19 – 21 May 2016 at the Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition & Convention Center – and is a further path to business success in the Southwest China region.

In its three short years CAPAS has made a substantial name for itself in Southwest China’s automotive industry. The show offers new business opportunities and immeasurable connections to exhibitors and visitors alike on the domestic and international stages. Now with the new “Commercial Vehicle Zone” sector highlighted, this year a heightened level of business connections are possible in the zone co-organised with the China Commercial Vehicle Parts Market Federation.

The commercial vehicle industry is continually growing and its expansion also stands to benefit from the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st century Maritime Silk Road initiative, or “The Belt and Road Initiative”. This is a substantial development approach initiated by the Chinese government to connect, promote and foster more cooperation among countries along the land-based “Silk Road Economic Belt” and the ocean-going “Maritime Silk Road”. This concept plans to connect China’s western, central and eastern regions, as well as parts of Eurasia and regions of Africa.

This strategy is intended as a way to integrate markets and increase economic cooperation, while introducing new trading landscapes. The investment possibilities of this initiative are endless and this will bolster a more integrated development within various regions of China and beyond. As a result, the commercial vehicle industry will have a greater and more positive development capacity in the future.

It is in response to these expanding market trends that the Commercial Vehicle Zone will be launched at CAPAS 2016. The China Commercial Vehicle Parts Market Federation members, including commercial vehicle manufacturers and manufacturers’ dealers, distributors and repair shops in Southwest China will feature their high-quality products and innovative technologies in the newly-unveiled Commercial Vehicle Zone. The federation will also help promote the exhibition through its extensive online platform.

In addition, the federation will also co-organise the diverse industry-related fringe programme. There will be several opportunities for knowledge exchange through training, activities, seminars, product presentations and networking events in the Commercial Vehicle Zone and other related automotive parts and aftermarket services topics. The fringe programme offers a unique connection between industry players and professionals to further explore business opportunities and promote the growth of the industry.

Large numbers of exhibitors and buyers expected this year

Global industry brands including Asia-Pacific, Eneos, Liqui Moly, Luoshi, MagicBullet, Mitasu, Olympus, Ruili, Ruiming, Sonax, Songtian, Trainsway, ultrasuede, VIE and Winsafe are highly-recognisable brands that have confirmed their participation in this year’s exhibition and many more are joining soon. The amount of exhibitors continues to increase year after year, with an expanding number of participating businesses and companies seeing the benefit of CAPAS and choosing to be involved.

In addition to a growing list of exhibitors, the volume of buyers also continues to ascend. Of the 16,000 expected global buyers, over 500 highly-qualified professional distributors and repair shop representatives will also be invited by the China Commercial Vehicle Parts Market Federation to attend the exhibition and especially the new “Commercial Vehicle Zone”. CAPAS continues to evolve with the changing market of Southwest China and has established itself as the one-stop trade platform for the automotive parts and aftermarket services sector in the region.

CAPAS 2016 will be occupying 35,000 sqm and three halls with more than 730 exhibitors from around the world and 16,000 quality global buyers expected to utilise the boundless business opportunities. The exhibition is organised by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Automotive Sub-Council (CCPIT-Auto), Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Sichuan Council (CCPIT-Sichuan).
