Truck Services Cork celebrates 40 years in business

Truck Services Cork, the DAF, Mercedes-Benz and Hyster main dealer, and the 2016 HCV Parts Dealer of the Year for Munster is celebrating 40 years in business this year.

“I would like to thank all at Automotive Publications, for our award for the 2016 HCV Parts Dealer of the Year for Munster. This is the second year in a row we have received this award,” said Stephen O’Brien, Parts Department Manager, Truck Services Cork.

He added: “To be recognised for this award in such a competitive market is very pleasing for all the staff, not only in the parts department but in all areas of our aftersales.”

Truck Services Cork, an ISO accredited company, is celebrating 40 years in business this year. “The company was formed in a premises not too far from our current building and we have grown into one of the leading commercial vehicle dealers and materials handing operators in Ireland, Stephen added.

Truck Services Cork has excellent franchises in DAF, Mercedes Benz & Hyster forklifts and receives significant support from the OHM Group and Motor Distributors Limited.

“Since we were appointed an after sales dealer for Mercedes Benz back in 2009 this business has grown year on year and with having been recently appointed a sales dealer the future looks very bright for this franchise,” Stephen enthused.

“The aftersales parts business is extremely demanding and what keeps us competitive in this market is the all makes business that PACCAR offers through the TRP all makes brand. It
gives excellent cross reference facilities and a wide range of stock available for the all makes commercial truck and trailer market,” he remarked.

He concluded: “ In our parts department we have a wealth of experience and our extremely dedicated team in Pat, Martin, Denis and Brian also know and value the importance of good customer service.”
