NI Motor Factors visit Ferrari HQ

Four lucky NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd Northern Ireland customers have enjoyed a fantastic trip to iconic car manufacturer Ferrari’s Italian headquarters.

They visited the company’s factory and museum at Maranello after being the top performers in a promotion to celebrate NGK’s 40th anniversary in the UK.

NGK has a long-standing relationship with Ferrari and was official supplier to the Scuderia Ferrari team competing in this year’s FIA Formula One World Championship.

The tour was hosted by Stewart Neill, Area Manager – Ireland, NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd, who said: “It was a brilliant trip which our customers really enjoyed. We have a long and successful relationship with Ferrari and it was great for our group to have a look behind the scenes and learn more about what is one of the world’s most famous vehicle manufacturers and Formula One racing teams.”

One of the winners, Ian Scott, of Carryduff Autoparts, said: “It was a fantastic experience seeing Ferrari cars being produced up close. I have to thank Stewart and NGK for giving us all the opportunity to visit such a terrific place and when you see the expert and precise engineering involved in producing such a wonderful car, it is not a surprise that NGK is their chosen spark plug.”

Ignition specialist NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd continues to set the pace 40 years after being incorporated as a UK subsidiary company of Japan.

NGK’s product portfolio has grown enormously since 1975 and it is now an original equipment (OE) supplier of spark plugs, glow plugs, NTK Lambda and other engine management sensors to most of the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers (VMs) with whom it works hand-in-hand to produce parts that are manufactured to meet their specific requirements, with the same products being available to the independent automotive aftermarket.
Last year the company introduced a new range of NTK exhaust gas temperature sensors (EGTS) and expanded the ignition coils range it successfully launched in 2013.
