TRW adds to Corner Module breaking portfolio

TRW has extended its Corner Module portfolio of braking, steering & suspension parts and has issued a reminder to drivers to ensure the relevant vehicle safety checks are carried out in advance of bad weather, and is prompting garages to be proactive in this area to avoid missing valuable sales opportunities.

Adding a further 137 product references, TRW’s latest range extension includes parts for: BMW 5, 2003 onwards; Land Rover Range Rover iii and Sport, 2005 onwards and Mercedes Benz C Class 2007 onwards and E Class 2012 onwards. The total number of new references released by the leading automotive safety expert in 2015 stands at 315, illustrating TRW’s commitment to the UK market and highlighting its leading global position.

This latest range extension comprises: three repair kits, brake calipers; 11 brake pad sets, disc brakes; 10 wheel cylinders; 10 brake calipers; three brake discs; one wheel speed sensor; 42 brake hoses; five parking brake cables; 41 accessory kits for disc brake pads; one tie rod axle joint; one shock absorber; four track control arms; one rod strut stabiliser and four steering columns.
Kevin Price, UK marketing manager, TRW Aftermarket, explained: “By working closely with the vehicle manufacturers and by directly translating the original equipment power of our parent company ZF TRW into our aftermarket offer, we ensure that the aftermarket has the parts it needs in the shortest time possible.”

In addition, the business has spoken out to remind the market to book vehicles in for an all-important health check to make sure that everything is in order for when the inclement winter weather arrives.

Kevin continued: “At TRW, safety is our number one priority. Many drivers often leave it to the last minute to ensure that all the components in their vehicle are in perfect working order before the cold weather strikes.
“This is particularly important when it comes to safety critical systems such as braking and steering.”
