Tenneco expands ‘B-Connected’ initiative
Connecting with the latest technical assistance, training and other resources has never been more important than in today’s vehicle service industry. Tenneco, a global supplier of original equipment and replacement emissions control and suspension technologies, is making it easier than ever through an array of new services and tools now available through its “B-Connected” initiative.
Among the latest tools is the new Monroe Walker Techline that provides professional installers with “on the spot” solutions to diagnosis questions related to the exhaust and/or suspension systems and installation issues with any Monroe or Walker product.
“Over the past several years, we have developed an impressive collection of leading-edge product and diagnostic research tools and online and on-site technical training capabilities,” said Olivier Schyns, senior marketing manager, Tenneco Europe Aftermarket.
“The B-Connected program integrates these capabilities into a single platform that enables industry professionals and consumers to connect with our expertise on a 24/7 basis.”
Staffed by a team of highly trained technical specialists , professionals can contact the Monroe Walker Techline either by telephone or through internet using their tablet. This last option is possible thanks to an innovative app that employs the latest technology in repair assistance. Users can connect with the Techline specialists via live chat, use the webcam on their tablets to show where the problem is, and through the use of augmented reality, the Techline experts can guide the installers step by step through the solution. The Techline personnel can serve customers who speak English, German or Italian, Monday through Friday from 09h00 to 17h00.
Access to the Monroe Walker Techline is free for professional installers that register. A dedicated website has been created to support the launch of this new service and is available via www.monroe.com or www.walker-eu.com.
The new Techline joins an impressive portfolio of other technical resources available to Monroe and Walker customers. These include the Technician’s Advanced Digital Information System (TADIS), offering e-learning modules, more than 125 technical videos, diagnostic and installation tips and more; additional technical training videos available via the “Tenneco TV” portal at www.monroe.com and www.walker-eu.com; the comprehensive www.monroecatalogue.eu and www.walkercatalogue.eu electronic catalogues; on-site technical and product workshops; and the Tenneco on Tour mobile training experience, which brings interactive system and product displays and in-depth technical workshops to markets throughout Europe.
“We have filled a need for valuable, convenient technical assistance to cover any queries regarding our wide range of ride control, suspension and emission control products,” Schyns said. “We are committed to helping current and future customers connect with these products and related resources in the most convenient and effective ways possible.”
