Vehicle rental firm Ryder has updated its fleet with 400 new tractor units along with 350 new trailers.
Multiple orders for the 6×2 tractor units have been made for DAF, MAN, Mercedes-Benz and Iveco vehicles, plus 200 curtain-sider trailers, 100 temperature-controlled trailers and 50 box trailers.
David Hunt, Vice-President and Managing Director at Ryder Europe, said, “Our continuing investment in new vehicles and trailers underlines Ryder’s ongoing commitment to providing greater choice and value for our customers. This latest investment in new assets will endow Ryder with one of the largest and most comprehensive Euro-6 fleets in the country, enabling our rental customers to have access to the benefits of this new technology.
“We also continue to invest in our personnel and workshops across our national network of 28 locations with all of our workshops equipped, and our staff trained, to support the specialised maintenance requirements of Euro-6 specification vehicles.”
