Manheim Goes Live at CV Show 2015

Manheim, the UK’s number one CV auction company, is showcasing its newly expanded range of digitally-enabled remarketing channels at this year’s CV Show (NEC, 14-16 April 2015).

Manheim’s national CV team will be hosting its stand in Hall 4 for the duration of the show. They will be joined by colleagues from the CV auction centres as well as Cox Automotive group companies Motors.co.uk and NextGear Capital. Manheim’s stand will allow visitors to watch and participate in live CV auction events via its multi-award winning online bidding platform, Simulcast. New buyers will also have the opportunity to open a Fast Track account to enable them to join in the bidding action live from Manheim’s stand. Simulcast now accounts for over a third of Manheim’s CV sales.

Continuing the live theme, Manheim will also be unveiling its brand new mobile auction unit. Parked outside the main NEC entrance, this eye-catching mobile auction unit enables CV auction events to take place remotely from Manheim’s physical auction network; at a location and time to suit the seller. Based on a VW Amarok provided by VW Commercial Vehicles, the mobile auction unit travels to the operator’s premises, storage facility or de-fleet centre, bringing auctioneer, physical attendees and online buyers to deliver a bespoke auction event. This innovative service brings far more flexibility to the auction process, reducing logistical complexities and costs.

Manheim will be displaying its chrome wrapped mobile auction unit, bearing the registration number G4 VEL, outside the front entrance of the NEC by Hall 5. Believed to be the first time a commercial vehicle has sported a full chrome wrap, this treatment is usually the preserve of supercars. The mobile auction unit’s bespoke adaption has been overseen by C Walton Ltd at Bruntingthorpe. It includes an adapted load cover for the auctioneer as well as PA system, TV screen and webcam. The vehicle is kitted out with the latest state of the art Vipranet technology, blending up to five mobile data signals to ensure robust connectivity for online buyers.
