Accelerator to launch new modules at CV Show

Award-winning fleet and workshop system Accelerator is to use The CV Show to formally launch its latest modules, Go Workshop and Go Fleet.

Accelerator
Accelerator’s creators AppSoft gained extensive praise late last year when introducing the vehicle management add-on Go Mobile for remote technicians’ work, fleet management information and drivers’ defects.

Appsoft’s latest workshop module, Go Workshop, replaces the existing Accelerator bar code job clocking module with an even simpler user interface. It will make its debut at The CV Show, as will Go Fleet; which acts as a live dashboard offering up-to-the-minute data for fleet operators.

Go Workshop allows workshop technicians to record their time, work done and corrective actions on a PC, touchscreen or tablet. Unlike most systems, Go Workshop also enables technicians to add new vehicles and set up new jobs swiftly when on weekend and out-of-hours shifts.

When booking in a new job, Go Workshop automatically highlights outstanding defects, reminders and inspection faults already logged in the Accelerator system.

AppSoft Commercial Director Graham Helliwell said: “Go Workshop has been specifically created so that each visit to the workshop captures all the work that needs to be undertaken.

“We have consulted extensively with a wide range of workshop managers to make sure that Go Workshop was developed with the sole intention of improving efficiency for anyone who uses it.

“Go Workshop will significantly reduce the number of vehicle workshop visits, improve vehicle up time and ensure that technicians can easily access pre-booked jobs, select tasks and either clock on and off as they complete tasks or fill in their times at the end of a job.’’

Go Workshop offers easy-to-use job task menus that can be tailored to each individual workshop; whether it is for fleet servicing, repair and maintenance, recovery or body shops. As it links directly to Accelerator, it cuts back office time, ensures accurate data and links directly to all stock information.

Technicians can book stock to jobs using a wireless bar code scanner or roaming PDA-type scanner, rebook parts and check the job off as complete. All work can be monitored in real time and Go Workshop’s interface can be used as a central screen in the workshop or on devices such as tablets.

Go Fleet has been designed specifically for tablets and other devices to give instant, up-to-date information on available vehicles and driver allocation, vehicles in the workshop and their status, vehicles pre-booked for servicing, VOR status and recovery requests, reminders for the next 30 days, drivers’ defects reporting, outstanding inspection faults and service booking requests.

Every aspect of Go Fleet has been developed to work in synch with both the core Accelerator system and Go Mobile.
Graham Helliwell said: “It is the simplest way for anyone running a fleet to have contemporary key performance criteria, awareness of any status changes, VOR or defect alerts and full knowledge of any vehicles that are available from the workshop.

“Go Fleet also make sure you never forget or overlook overdue reminders or forward reminder dates. It gives you all the alerts and information you will need quickly, accurately and instantly.’’
